SIP Trunks are virtual telephone lines that connect your phone system (PBX) to the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) via the internet. We can assign a Direct Inward Dialing (DID) number to an individual or department within an organization. This allows external callers to reach that specific destination directly, without the need to go through a receptionist or an auto-attendant. A DID can utilize internet bandwidth to support multiple concurrent calls, also known as Channels. By replacing traditional phone lines with SIP Trunks, organizations can significantly reduce their telecom expenses!

DID Number Services
Each SIP trunk comes with a DID (Direct Inward Dialing) number, allowing external callers to directly reach an individual or department within an organization. These DID numbers facilitate number portability, caller ID management, and access to emergency services.

Each DID comes with a designated number of channels, where one channel represents one active call (either inbound or outbound).
