Senior Account Executive

ModernWorks is a privately owned company providing telephone services and equipment to business clients in Ontario. As a result of our continued growth, we are looking to add a Senior Account Executive to our team. The ideal candidate will possess an entrepreneurial spirit and must be able to work in a dynamic environment with minimum supervision. Job Objective:
The Account Executive is a consultative sales professional responsible for securing new business, generating revenue and establishing relationships by positioning ModernWorks products and services. Responsible for identifying and qualifying opportunities, based on customer business needs, and resolving them through solution selling and the ability to collaborate with the engineering team in support of the sales strategy, including engagements with all key stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of ModernWorks products and services
  • Active involvement in the development of business/account plans for the territory
  • Sale of specialty products with strong focus on Customer Premise Equipment as well as Hosted Services
  • Identify and develop solutions that meet the customer's growth and revenue objectives
  • Take ownership of opportunities and manage these opportunities to closure
  • Prepare winning proposals, presentations, quotations, contracts and supporting documentation in support of sales activities
  • Negotiate customer sales contracts and agreements as required
  • Provide proper hand-off of customer requirements to internal stakeholders such as Project and Implementation Managers
  • Develop and maintain relationships with all customers in the market to ensure high level of client satisfaction
  • Display leadership and/or mentoring characteristics to Junior Account Executives
  • Contribute to the overall success of the company
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethic codes

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient and relentless in all sales related activities
  • Proven consultative selling skills positioning end-to-end solutions
  • Strong business acumen to understand customer goals, challenges and operations
  • Ability to articulate business value, total cost of ownership and investment returns to client decision makers
  • Goal oriented, possess a strategic mind set, plan accordingly for all activities
  • Self motivated with high level of drive, energy and initiative
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships in cross-functional team environment
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrate negotiation and persuasion skills
  • Self starter and can adapt quickly to changing environments and market trends
  • Well organized, able to handle multiple tasks at once
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications; i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook

Required Professional Designation/Certification:

  • University education and/or technology diploma
  • Industry sales and/or vendor certifications an asset

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in telecommunications, information technology and/or networking in a customer facing role
  • Proven record in strategic selling demonstrated through performance against sales quota

Junior Account Executive
