Why ModernWorks?


ModernWorks was formed in 2007 by a group of voice and data experts who previously made it possible for J&D Systems to be a successful pioneer in this community with voice over IP (VoIP) applications and installations.


It’s what we have specialized in since the mid to late 1990s when Nortel Networks was starting to add VOIP capabilities to their enterprise class PBX systems. We were there when VOIP first starting appearing in the Canadian business environment. We have extensive experience in designing, deploying and supporting both voice and data solutions. We are located centrally in Kitchener, Ontario and extend our service to customers throughout South Central and South Western Ontario.


Toshiba Canada recognized our ability to support their traditional voice products as well as their more advanced VoIP applications and welcomed ModernWorks as a fully authorized dealer for voice products within our local area of operation. Due to the demise of J&D Systems (purchased by Bell Canada in 2006) and the lack of interest by Bell Canada with respect to selling and supporting this popular brand of product we accepted the challenge and are excited about revisiting old acquaintances and meeting new friends.
